| 1. The Battery does not last for long ? | ||
Confirm if you have charged the battery completely and ensure that the device displays the battery charge is good before starting to use the device. Ensure the battery calibration process is done at-least once on the device.

| 2. What is battery calibration ? | ||
When the device is booted up for the first time, the battery has to be calibrated for it to deliver optimum back-up on every re-charge. During the calibration process the battery has to go through a complete cycle of discharge and charge. With one complete cycle of discharging and charging accomplished, the battery on the particular device will be calibrated.
Note: It is necessary to calibrate the device before using it for the first time. | ||

| 4. Can I use a different battery charger than the one provided with the device? | ||
No! Using different battery chargers will lead to damage of components and the warranty for the device will be void.

| 5. How long does the battery charge last? Can I change the batteries? | ||
Battery charge depends on the usage of the device. After battery calibration, under normal usage it will last for 8 -10 hours.
The battery can not be changed by the user. For changing the battery in case it does not retain charge for sufficient period then the device is to be returned to Geodesic for the battery replacement.

| 6. How much time does it take to charge the battery from no charge to full charge? | ||
The battery charging is done in accelerated mode, it will take about 2 to 3 hours for the battery to charge to full capacity.

| 7. How can I identify a faulty charger? | ||
On connecting the Geoamida Power Adapter to power supply, A red LED glows on adapter which indicates the health of the charger. When the LED is not glowing, it indicates that the charger has gone bad or the mains power supply is not available.

Ensure that the printer lid is closed properly. Align the pinch roller on the hinge properly. Apply equal & minimal pressure on both the sides of the printer lid to close it.

Ensure that the paper roll is inserted correctly (paper's printing side should face the printer head).

Insert a pin to press the calibration button on the bottom of the device. This will display a set of 5 cross wires one after another, you are required to touch the center of each cross wire as it appears.

No! sharp objects like pen/pencil will damage the touch-screen. Use the stylus provided along with the device.

A retractable soft keyboard is available in the bottom tool bar wherever necessary. Tapping on the keyboard icon will open it.

Tap on the up arrow beside the keyboard icon to list the type of keyboards. Select 'qwerty' to open alphabetical keyboard.

| 19. What do I do if the system does not respond to any command? | ||
Under this condition it is important to calibrate the touch screen. The process is as follows:

1. While changing the SIM, make sure that the Geoamida is switched OFF. Changing the SIM, when the device is ON will affect the internal modem. 2. When using an external USB modem, make sure that the modem is NOT pulled out when the modem is getting initialized or when it is connected to the Internet. Always remove the USB modem only after disconnecting from the Internet. | ||
| 24. How to test GPS? | ||

| 25. I do not get GPS data in indoors. | ||
The GPS signals are linear unlike GPRS signals. Hence, when in indoors the device will not be unable to catch the linear signals from the satellites. GPS devices best performance is delivered when in an open space where it can receive signals from all the available satellites.

Hard reset the POT, this can be done by inserting a pin through the hole provided on the SIM cover. On pressing the reset button the device will be reset. The resetting processes will switch off the device. The user has to again switch on the device.
